About

Offseasonvibes is for people seeking a holiday that better immerses them in local environments. This happens through participation in sporting, cultural and ecological activities that take place away from mass tourism.

We promote accommodation services and activities in the Sinis and Costa Verde regions of Sardinia in the off season periods of 1 April – 2 July and 12 September – 30 November. Accommodation includes Agritourism , Bed & Breakfast, Camping and more. Activities include surfing, kite surfing, wind surfing, kite hydrofoiling and more during the off season periods in spring and autumn when wind and wave conditions are regularly ideal. We also coordinate options for tours involving art, culture and connection to local nature, with its enchanting landscapes. These include trekking and mountain biking tours as well as tours to discover the local flavours and traditions that are a joy to experience. For each activity we collaborate with experienced, professional, reliable instructors/guides who give group or individual lessons/guidance.

We have a very strong focus on eco-sustainability, and aim to completely abolish plastics from our immediate environment, especially single-use plastics. This includes using non-invasive products for cleaning and hygienic services. We also coordinate excursions to various beaches and nearby nature reserves to collect and dispose of waste plastic. In this we are supported by other voluntary organizations.

In order to achieve our goal of preserving the natural beauty around us, the collaboration of everyone is essential.

The Area

The Sinis peninsula, a low-lying area that sits between the Gulf of Oristano and the bay of Is Arenas on the island of Sardinia, is famous for its cultural history and beauty. It includes many inland lagoons as well as an expanse of beaches and dream coves characterized by variations in sand and water colour that resemble the tropics. The particular characteristics of these coasts (flat seabed and exposure to westerly winds) make them ideal for water sports enthusiasts. Most of the area is easily accessible via municipal roads and multiple dirt paths.

To the south lies Mount Arcuentu, a tall peak that separates the Sinis region from the magnificent Costa Verde region, which is famous for its abandoned mines, enormous sand dunes and wild undeveloped landscapes that offer breathtaking views for trekking and mountain biking lovers.

Both the Sinis and Costa Verde regions are protected by robust environmental policies that include protected marine areas. Development along these coasts is therefore virtually non-existent!
